DIY AT-HOME MANICURE

A perfect manicure is necessary to complete and complement your look!. But the professional salon manicure can be time consuming and alot expensive. So, why go to salons when you can do it by yourself at home.

This step by step DIY manicure will ensure that you will get a salon like manicure, that is also very inexpensive without getting out of your home.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • Nail polish remover
  • Nail clipper
  • Nail file
  • Nail buffer
  • Cuticle stick
  • Cuticle oil
  • A tub
  • Hand scrub
  • Towel
  • Your favorite nail polish

1: REMOVE PREVIOUS NAIL POLISH:

Start off your manicure by removing the previous nail polish with the help of nail polish remover/acetone.

2: SHAPE & BUFF THEM:

After removing the previous nail polish, clip your nails. Now with the help of nail file shape them into your desired shape. But keep in mind, to use only crystal file or emery board as they are alot gentle on your nails. Using metal coarse nail file can cause to splinter nails or breakage. After shaping your nails it is time for buffing them. Use a buffer to buff the top and sides of nails to give an even look.

3: SOAK YOUR NAILS:

Take a tub full of lukewarm water. You can also add rose petals for the extra luxurious feel. Soak your hands in the tub for 10-15 minutes to soften cuticles. Then scrub your hands to get rid of dead skin. If you don’t want to scrub, instead use gentle brush to clean your hands & nails.

4: PREPARE YOUR CUTICLES:

Dry your hands with the towel and apply cuticle oil. With the help of cuticle pusher/orange stick to push back ( don’t cut them, it can cause infection ) the cuticles. Don’t force your cuticles too hard, because you don’t want to ripe your skin away. Now apply good moisturizer or hand cream.

5: PAINT THEM:

It’s time to them!. Start with a base coat, this will even out any ridges, roughness, or unevenness. Pick a nail polish of your choice and roll it in your hands for 15 seconds to warm it up for smoother application. Now apply a layer of nail polish ( you can apply second layer if you need it ) to your nail and you are good to go, your at-home spa like manicure is done!.
